Q. What is CoolSculpting?

A. Sometimes your body just doesn’t seem to want to respond to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting is an FDA-approved nonsurgical procedure that helps freeze stubborn fat cells without surgery or downtime. CoolSculpting specifically targets your body’s fat cells underneath your skin, freezing (crystallizing) them until they die. Over the weeks that follow your treatment, your body naturally removes these dead fat cells, providing you with a more sculpted look*.

* Individual results may vary.

Q. What does it feel like?

A. Because CoolSculpting freezes your fat cells with carefully controlled cooling technology, you may experience an intense tingling, cold sensation at first. However, this usually fades in about 10 minutes, as the targeted area begins to numb. You may also experience a mild pinching sensation, aches and cramps, or a slight skin irritation or swelling, but most patients only experience minor discomfort. Once the treatment is over, you should be able to resume your normal daily activities.

Q. What areas can be treated?

A. CoolSculpting is primarily used to remove stubborn fat cells from your abdomen/belly, inner and outer thighs, and neck/chin. It is not recommended for treating obese patients, and it may require multiple treatments in the same area to achieve desired results.

Q. How soon can I expect to see results?

A. While individual results may vary, most patients see noticeable results about 1-3 months after treatment, although some may see them in as little as three weeks. On average, our patients typically see a 20-25% reduction in fat in the area of treatment, although this is not guaranteed. CoolSculpting typically enjoys a 95% patient satisfaction rate. However, there is never a 100% guarantee that it will work, as every body responds differently to treatment.

Q. How much does CoolSculpting cost?

A. Treatment costs will vary depending upon which areas of your body require treatment and the number of treatment sessions that will be needed. Generally, CoolSculpting treatments start around $750 per treated area. Call us to request a consultation, so that we can create a personalized CoolSculpting treatment plan that’s right for you!
